Ilargi . 2023

Make it Real . 2021

Make it Real is a collection describing a multitude of fleeting, erotic and phantasmagorical moments.

Around a harp, a piano, flutes and an effervescence of pulsations, it is the second EP around the album Metaverse, a long-running project (3 EPs, a remix album, a series of Podcasts, and a new album) that takes a look at epistolary and artistic exchanges in the ocean of the internet.

This album is about vulnerability and sexuality, how to drop the masks when it's time to meet someone in the real world.

Make it Real was made in close collaboration with producers Alexis
Michallek (Malachite), Benjamin Gibert (co-founder of the Tephra label) the flutist Marie Chevallier and the Colombian musician Mav Nuhels (disco infente)

Mud . 2020

Between Shamanic baptism and sensory poetry, the words and notes of Mud find their setting in the chaotic landscapes of Iceland. The song tells of an impression, an abstract feeling of pain, of weight in the soul, sung as a war cantilena with Middle Eastern modulations. Sacha Bernardson has lived years on the island and has recorded rushes on the slopes of Seltun, an active volcanic site, one of the geothermal springs of the Reykjavik area. The video comes as a tree view of the song and shed light on the textured feelings of one of the central pieces of the album Rockall.

57°35'48''N-13°41'19''O . 2015

With this little album, I wanted to give myself new reference points. By indicating the coordinates of my future destination in the title, I moved into a freer realm of experimentation rather than traditional song construction. Composed in a tiny room in London, where I spent almost a year between my life in the USA and Iceland.

Postkaarten . 2012

I moved to the Netherlands, with my love at this time, it was my first winter in the snow, so I huddled home with this postcard view.

This kind of folds made me want to make longer tracks and work on spaces.
To give me perspective, I worked hundreds of little noises and I tried to give them very natural textures, like on Under Zero and that frosted sound, or crackling wood in Rien.

I think I also wanted to explore a more sensual side of the sound, the sizzle of a compressor and some crack in the recordings reminded me of the electric character of my instrument, and my point of view on it changed, the technology usually handy and pragmatic appeared to me organic and alive.

I was in a state of in-between, the transitory effect of a move, in this shy soft and gentle contry. When I reached the end of the recordings for Postkaarten, I opened the windows wide, it was the beginning of spring, I recorded the song Idiosyncrasy with the birds of the neighborhood.

The subject evoked in this album took on another dimension when in the same year I started to write Dormancy, there was already this shadow, or at least a kind of fear, as a latent apprehension.

Sometimes I think that Postkaarten is also the testimony of what will be since a permanent feeling: the lack .... of my family, my friends, or where I come from…

Produced arrangements and performance by Sacha Bernardson
Except on «Rien», flute by Marie Chevalier.
Lyrics and Music by Sacha Bernardson
execpt on Under Zero, lyrics by Marie Hadda and Sacha Bernardson
Artwork by Femme à Barbe. 2012-2016.

The first version of Backpack have been realized the 21rst march 2011
under the name «Backpack Demo», I wanted to put all this track in a bigger album,
But after few works and time, it became clear that Backpack has born an album.
So I took all the old mixes and made new ones from my little home-studio
in Reykjavik, the vocals was so dammaged, but technology are definitly magic.
I’m very happy to ear this songs finaly sounding clear and bright.

Backpack are this little boxe, containing my roots, my friends, it feels like a snail.
My home on my back, I’m never alone.
